Marta Maíz and Enrique Herrada open their first architecture studio in Madrid and begin their professional activity, combining it with university teaching. However, a growing interest in developing the artistic side of their profession is becoming increasingly important among their areas of activity. Their signature is the ability to make their clients' dreams a reality, using innovation and creativity in materials and designs, while maintaining a strong focus on the efficiency of the resulting construction.

For Maíz-Herrada, the site where a building will be located is part of the raw material to be worked with. It is an element with its own character that upholds environmental and meaningful values, which must be respected and enhanced during intervention. This approach has evolved from transforming a PLACE to understanding them as actions within the LANDSCAPE that affect the entire TERRITORY. Integration, transversality, and incorporation of Art. This is where the concept of ST-ART-EGIES was born.
/purpose
The house is a retreat where one returns to rest, find shelter, and shape dreams. As a foundation for dreams rooted in sustainability and art, Maíz-Herrada created APGallery—an open space for artistic experimentation in nature. Bridging the artistic, technical, and spiritual, it aims to inspire. This space champions art’s presence in life, especially in homes and neighborhoods, strengthening community and deepening belonging.

This is only possible because they see, in every completed project, how their innovative perspective truly has the power to improve people's lives and the places where their projects are located.
Brand Identity
It’s not uncommon to see guest artists in the studio, projecting their vision at the very beginning of architecture projects. From there, it’s the team’s job to meticulously transform that inspiration into a full reality—millimeter by millimeter. They are passionate about art, yes, but also obsessive about detail and elevating the quality of shared living spaces, both public and private. This highly personal approach needed to be incorporated into the studio’s new presentation to the world.
Behind the logo
Under the architectural concept of Maíz-Herrada, the environment in which a project is located is just as important as the design of the building itself. In fact, they are inextricable and cannot be conceived separately. Additionally, each building must offer the possibility of expressing individuality to the exterior. When developing the brand’s graphic identity, the Brave team approached it as a whole, but deliberately ensuring that both partners could see the reflection of their own individuality in the created brand.

A campaign that, following the studio’s philosophy, gives prominence to life and the environment. In this way, the human being, architect, and artist, takes on the modest role of integrating only where needed to apply creativity in multiplying life, both inside and outside inhabited walls.
